goodnight team , just a couple of minutes I subscribed to the trial version of octane VR and apparently at the time of activation of the test account has led me into conflict with my version of the standalone as it gives me the following error : the standalone license is not a subscription license and cant be used in a subscription version

Now I can not access any version of the program and pay such as 3ds max plugin or the standalone version

I much appreciate help solve that problem

hi, you're getting the error because the most recent installation, OctaneVR, became the default edition in your machine, it runs when you click on the Octane shortcut and it is currently not activated because an OctaneRender is currently activated on that machine. (Here are differences between OctaneRender and OctaneVR: http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Standalo ... ge_id=3141)

OctaneRender will only run with an OctaneRender commercial license, while OctaneVR will only run with an OctaneVR subscription license.

To remedy your situation, kindly login to your online customer area account on Otoy's website and navigate to the 'Licenses' tab to make sure that OctaneRender is deactivated. Finally, navigate to 'Subscriptions' tab to locate your subscription key for OctaneVR and activate OctaneVR on your machine.

If you want to use OctaneRender again, you will have to deactivate OctaneVR. (And if you prefer, uninstall OctaneVR from your machine so that the Octane shortcuts don't default to OctaneVR).

(The above is also true for the plugins)...
