hi guys, i've checked the faq and watched some tutorials but i'm stumped :(

i'm cloning a simple plane with an emission (blackbody) and an opacity channel material.

it appears fine when it isn't cloned, but when it's cloned, it looks like a normal diffuse material (blackbody emission doesn't seem to follow).

i tried to remove render instances in my clone but no change...
all tried texture emission but no change there either...

this is weird because my spot lights in my image are some simple planes cloned radial with blackbody and those seem to work :?

much appreciated! :)

I think that you still missed the logic behind of somethings. This issue is mentioned in FAQ topic.
If you don't use object tag, all objects will be exported as part of a big single mesh. So emission power is distributed by total surface of this mesh. But if you use objecttag, each object will be a indivual mesh and keep their emission per area. Arealight+lighttag generates indivual meshes for per lights. So that's the reason.

hi aoktar, it seems the problem was that my cloner had a target tag and my plane was looking in the complete opposite direction so i checked the reverse heading checkbox and that solved the problem.
my bad, thought I had investigated everything! :l
