A great lightlister plugin is released for new&young renderer Corona.

Since we still have no support and no promise for maxscript connectivity today...

It is so sad not to having this for octane and knowing that it cannot be done today, it's a real pity...
I personally would desperately donate for this kind of plugin if any dev or anyone could create this.

Check it out.

I don't wanna do it because it's in vain...but here we go:
+1

(Btw I'm using your Light Lister Script all the time. I don't know how people actually can control a scene effectively without it...Do they zoom on each light and click on it?)

- your maxscript does work OK oguz, you could probably update it to switch lights on/off - I think I save my (important) lights in the selection set, and actually do click on them or search so I don't use it as much .. sort of my default action, but yeah, more maxscript connectivity please

.. I have a feeling corona is coming down strong, fast and huge - people are going crazy since beta version, and if octane team doesn't really give it it's best - it's gonna be a hard battle with the likes of corona
- I like it as it has the same workflow as octane - and all max standard materials work on it - and we still don't have a good 100% compatible viewport or material preview on octane / I mean we have but not fully functional as the built in one has

- and still, the interior renders is where all the speed breaks, corona is realistically on my next on the list definitely , octane needs a lot more polishing of the existing features
- when someone is asking for recommendations on render engines, I still wouldn't recommend octane, as I know it has issues that they wouldn't like - I can handle all the bugs and workarounds and I find it worthwile, but I saw a few people I know trying octane and then ending up back on keyshot, marmoset or vray.. or arnold.. - and I've been to a few conferences now regarding gaming and cg industry, and people (still) haven't really heard of octane - it's keyshot all the way (for zbrush concept artists, 100%)

- pimp it up team

Rob thanks,
No need for +1's. :))

& thanks guys for letting me know that you use my little script. I would improve it if I had the knowledge.

Like you I use that script nearly every day. Especially while dealing with lots of lights.
The main missing link is controlling the emissive materials. Which is out of my league to write code to it.

I need that corona lightlister like function so much. Once or if an extensive maxscript functionality is out,
I'm thinking about hiring a scripter or a plugin dev. (not an octane dev of course) to work on it.
Cause it'll be so greatly helpful. It will reduce my time.

I once had a chat with a scripter who is keen on working on it. But as you know Octane does not let us to reach those settings via maxscript.
Until then there is nothing to do on my part. sadly.
