Hi Guys,

I have a corsair 780T, and It hink the PSU might be dead or the start button fails.
I think the start button is a bad design ogf the 780T
case. It is on top of the case and it is tipped on too easy (by putting keyboard on top of case, or by cat walking on the case. I hope it got stuck in a way and is causing not turning on the PC.
Therefor I turn on and off the PSU switch everytime after having shut down the PC.
Probably the PSU is dead.
Has anyone a tip for me to check PSU or startbutton without having too swap the PSU?
I might open the case and see if the startbutton is stuck or wrong ina way?

greetz,

There are great antivandal switches. Google "anti-vandal switch button".

take the manual of Your motherboard & read throught where is the power pins on Your motherboard or simply open the case & see where the wires lead You =) take those wires out from the motherboard & simply use knife, scissors or any conductive material to shorten the contacts.

if after shortning contacts Your computer turns on - You button is dead, if not, well don't be hurry to put Your PSU in peace as there might be other problems..

Hey guys,

Nice switch :D

Happy, happy again: Do not know what happened before, but it works again :D :D :D
Strange though... Maybe the power button after all?
... any other idea?
Anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed

Cheers,

I had the same issue after cleaning the case. I reconnected chassis cables and it works. But I was worried too.
