What is the score on OctaneBench?

npt so bad - few percent bellow TitanX (what could be equaled out by tweaking fan a bit & providing some more airflow into Your case =)

My pci slot is a 8x so with a new mobo an pci 16x it would be faster i think. I just have the card now for 3hrs an didn't had time to tweak it :)

116.52 is the final score? What are the core and memory clocks while rendering - this is important.

Hm, I find these results a bit sad. My 780ti's get 104 as a result for a single card ... meaning the 980ti is marginally faster in rendering (quite a bit faster in gaming FPS, though). I hope Nvidia provides more with the 1080 GTX ... pascal is supposed to be different, I hope that includes rendering? If not, we shall see what OpenCL on AMDs does... :)

Indeed those numbers are not that "inspiring" to say the least..the only benefit of new Maxwell cards over 780s (6GB) is more vram if You take TitanX.. 980Ti out of the box offers like 15-20 % over Titan Black. Hopefully Pascal going to bring something awesome.

On the other hand at this pricepoint, reference design cooler equiped 980Ti is a great option for some (who still sit on older cards, pre TItan) .. 6GB + great reference cooler for the price it is on the market leaves no need to get anything else, unless..

Hybrid solutions that include AIO waterblock from companies like EVGA. Those give extra boost at even lower temps =) for 100$ extra it is a nice deal for those who need one good card that performs stuningly! You can't beat custom loop (but that's entirelly different price category).
