I ask if is possible to use SurfaceSPREAD (converting the instances in geometry before send the scene).
My problem is to cover large areas like flowerbed with a lot of flowers, bushes, etc.

My idea is to:

1) create a null object and place as child the flower that I need to clone, as suggested here:
http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... ne#p233424

2) create a clone (with istance render option) of the child object

3) insert the clone into SurfaceSPREAD, not activating the "render instance" option of SS in order to avoid to make an istance of the instance,

4) finally hit "C" on all the SS elements and start the render

Someone could suggest me iof is the correct way (I have to realise a very high number of clones so I need to be sure about it before to start the work)?

Thanks a lot.
