what are the differences in plus for the driver listed on your site
http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cuda ... loads.html

vs official stable?

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp64-25 ... river.html

the latter has support for CUDA Toolkit 3.1

im kinda confused as to which is better to play with octane...

Hi!
I don't think there a definitive solution for any system but I'd suggest you to stick with stable drivers recommended in the installation notes, and try with newest only if you experience some issues with them (for example if you have very recent hardware or so...).

for XP, just use the latest drivers from nvidia homepage.
OS X and linux users need to install the cuda 3.0 drivers amnd runtime kit (linux only)
