Last night I got an NVIDIA driver crash, so I couldn't render anymore all I had was the "Render Is Failed!" message. Now every time I try to render the scene I have the same driver crash. I have a Titan Black, Max 2014, and my drivers are up to date.

I remember having this issue once and I had to recreate one of my emissive materials for some reason. I'll try that and post an update here.

Edit: I had to remove displacement, so it is probably not plugin-related. What is strange is that I didn't change the displacement or the object that had displacement in a while, so I don't know why suddenly it I would get a crash resulting from this. Very little had changed in this scene.

Edit2: Now that I think about it, I had applied nurms subdivision on my mesh last night. If I remove nurms, it works, for now...

And this is why we need a displacement override. Particularly when we use hundreds of materials in many xrefs, its very difficult to track them down,
