According to videocardz.com the 980 Ti is coming very soon.
They already have (synthetic) performance benchmarks. Everything to be confirmed, but it's looking good.

:? WTF?.. 780Ti has 2880 cores... why the hell would a 980Ti have 2816 cores?... Huh? Does anyone (er, Tom) know if the 980Ti could be faster (Octane) than a 780Ti? Sure, we're only talking 64 cores, but every bit counts. I'm going to be doing some upgrading soon, and had pretty much settled on multiple 780Ti, and that is likely to stick, but I am still very curious about this.

it's not true to compare them regarding only amount of cores since they haven't same architecture. Ex: 980(maxwell) has 2048 cora while titan(kepler) 2680 but 980 is faster than titan about %15

Edit: just read this http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx- ... ng-summer/ and it says it comes with 3072 cuda

That's right.

And bear in mind guys, that 900 series and even titan X is still 28nm technology - so the only way to make them faster is to clock them faster.

Looks like it will be released next week on Computex.
Should be a hard launch with immediate availability.
