Hi... here my spec : My spec C4d r16.038 / Octane 2.22.2 test 3 / gtx titan black ed / Geforce gtx 680 / mac OSX yosemite last built
I 've attached a jpg of my scene... i put three spline that warp around a vineyard... there role is to illuminate the trunk while they climb
around it... i attached a octane blackbody emission texture to get the illumination.
But once i render the scene, i can see the light through the trunk.. you'll see it on the attached file
Thank you for helping if ti's a bug.. maybe i just did it the wrong way ..
best
bug or not :)

Sorry to hear. Shortly you can assign octane object tag to each emissive object and keep renderer on "resend only updated". Also please watch these:bphoton wrote:as i'm a dyslexic it's a little bit difficult for me to find something on manual.. and i can't find any tutorial on it, i understand that you're tired, but could you just point me at the direction where to look at...

Nice to hear that you have figured. If it's disabled on displacement that's a limitation of octane engine. Not a bug. Displacement is very limited to imagetexture and some conditions. But these are very own to core engine and i have to answer for these limitations. This can make me a little jumpy because it's not a matter of my work.
