Hi,
There is'nt much more i can recommend...
If you've already reinstalled everything, there is'nt any other solution.
for some reason the driver does'nt see your card...
Maybe if you ever upgrade to snow leopard or something, try reinstalling in the right order and try again...

1- Install Xquartz (as i'm still on 10.5.8...), restart computer.
2- Install cuda drivers (cudatoolkit_3.0_macos_32 AND cudadriver_2.3.0_macos, as a "dylib" file is missing in the 3.0 package...)
3- Install "OctaneRender_DEMO_1022_beta22_mac_osx"
4- Repair autorisation
5- Restart computer
6- launch octane... and nothing...

Is octane really stable on Mac ?
Huv, could you repost your hardware details.
Perhaps somebody around here has same equipment.

@ Huv: I think the problem is the CUDA driver 2.3 you're using... never had a problem with 3.0.14 with a single nVidia card (I had with 2 cards but it's solved since beta 2.2), maybe it doesn't work as expected with Leopard? any 10.8 user can tell about 3.0 cuda drivers? don't give up anyway...
@ Vincent: beta 2.2 is quite stable on my (poor) hardware... I have some crashes on occasion but I guess most of them are due to memory and speed limitation of my MBP (no registry trick on OSX is possible afaik)

Well, seems that 3.0 cuda drivers does not install a "dylib" file, so, as suggested, i've tried with 2.3 and 2.2 drivers, the missing "dylib" file does appear, but does not change anything...SurfingAlien wrote:@ Huv: I think the problem is the CUDA driver 2.3 you're using... never had a problem with 3.0.14 with a single nVidia card (I had with 2 cards but it's solved since beta 2.2), maybe it doesn't work as expected with Leopard? any 10.8 user can tell about 3.0 cuda drivers?
Octane impossible to launch...
Would really like to try octane, but i have no solution for the moment...
Any mac OSX 10.5.8 user, could give direct links to what the've installed, so i will be able to try again...
Thanks
