HI!
I'm using octane renderer for my new animation short film.
so far the images it renders are amazing and i can't see myself going back to any other render engine anytime soon.
I've manneged to render about 70% of my project on my single Nvidia GTX 760 with no problems, even on 10 hour+ render sessions.
latly my pc has started to freeze after rendering about 3 frames.
At the begining i though it was because I didnt check the "use pri" option who's supose to let the operating system use my GPU on high priority and the octane with what's left.
it worked for a while then started to freeze again.
now, all i can do in order to keep my renders on without freezing is actualy USING my computer GPU (with after effects, media player or even chrome)
-did I ruin my GPU or somthing?
-did anyone tackled the same problem?
-what can I do in order to keep my GPU "busy" so my OS wont freeze all the time (without me actualy using apps and need to be in front of my computer)
Thanks. nimrod

1-Please check your stability of your pc. Softwares cannot freeze your system. See first your temperature of gpus, also psu and voltage values. Some HW assistant can help more.
2-Use better gpu(s). 760 is not best. Two or more gpu will give better experience.

I'm pretty sure I am not the only one who have this problem... i read some post about more people who solve it by turning on the "use pri" (use priority on low) button
and im kind of a student... decided to buy the render engine instead of buying more expensive GPU
if anybody else managed to solve this it will be awesome...

Please, provide more details, 'bout Your computer in order to give You some ideas. It's rare to see hangs influenced by changes in software, unless those put more strain to let's say PSU..but overall I suspect later to be responsible anyway.
