I'm a bit disappointed, nor do I have GearVR and Samsung phone, nor ORBX player is available for me.
Can throw my DK2 out of the windows. I guess I was a bit naive to hope that Octane will render real time to DK2.
Ok, maybe I’m the only one who do not have 1,5k euros for the next gadgetry

Then what was this all about? :

Just for the fun, we hooked up the rift in Octane some time ago and it was quite cool. We still have lots of things to do but we can dust off the old code if we have some time. We just can't promise when.
We couldn't ship it back then because the Rift was only supported on Windows.
Cheers,
Thomas

Use parallel stereo, set the IPD to .65 mm, use 125 degree thin lens camera + distortion at ~100%. Then use lens shift to swap the left and right views (on my Rift -.7 works). We're going to support the Rift more robustly via Lua. Please let me know if the prior info is helpful."

It is in a test build of the standalone right now, with support for DK1. We'll polish the feature with Dk2 support and see if we can make it usable by the plugins too.“

I have a DK2 as well, and yeah, it kinda sucks, but Octane team already explained many times why the DK2 is not supported.
The DK2 is just an obsolete prototype. Oculus itself, as a company, does not want it to be supported because it does not reflects the quality of VR experience they want people to have.

When this will come out early next year, OctaneVR will fully support it.

Thanks Rikikii, you tried your best, unfortunately my disappointments stays in place.
There were numerous posts in forum from Octane that it is possible to support DK2 through Lua script, but then some weird explanation about user experience came into being.. will wait

Thnx.
