If I leave cinema running on my mac overnight when I wake the Mac Octane has crashed cinema. Its happens ever time.
Octane is not rendering, just passively running in Cinema.

No I can't be sure its Octane, but it's never happened before, I always leave my machines on overnight. It could be related to the new GFX card or Octane as those are the only new things.
Is that Cinema's crash report that I can grab from Console? Can I email it to you?

OK I sent the crash report to your [email protected] email, I don't know how to upload it here.

it might have to do with the online activation check. seems we have a similar issue with the lightwave plugin on mac. the developer is on track on this side, maybe worth checking this in your case as well.

I've sent Ahmet my bugreport.zip file, and also had an email from Maxon support letting me know that the crash was caused by Octane.3dworks wrote:it might have to do with the online activation check. seems we have a similar issue with the lightwave plugin on mac. the developer is on track on this side, maybe worth checking this in your case as well.

I've set my Mac to Never sleep, hopefully that will fix the issue in the mean time.

I'm having the exact same problem, it started since I updated my Octane standalone and the Octane plugin for C4D to the latest versions. Now it crashes after 30 minutes. I've never had this problem before.
The earlier version I had was Octane Render 2.06 for Cinema 4D.

Yes I found that too, it works as it should again. I am having Render priority set to "PRIORITY_MEDIUM" and have set my graphic card to "Use Pri." and now I am having no problems.jppolk wrote:Hey guys, I had the same problem but it seems to be working fine when I change the priority from LOW to MEDIUM on the Settings/Devices, tell me if this works.
(Go to Octane Settings -> Settings -> Devices)
