Ok let's wait a bit before deciding to prolongue or not. Don't forget that if we don't have enough participants we will cancel that contest and will start a new one later on, so what I suggest is that near the end of the month, based on the number of submissions we'll see if prolounging would bring more submissions or not.

Hi guys,

I have un undertanding most people are holding back submissions before the end as not to cause commotions and cause other people to 'give up'.
Can some of our competition partakers just mention what they're working on ?

I need to get a view if this competition is a. dead, b. has only 2-3 entries, thereby making the prize <> gain ratio unsuccessfull or c. in good condition.
Based on that i can finetune the competition to make sure everyone's happy and we'll have plenty of contributions.

Cheers,

I'm working on an action scene with multiple characters, with fully simulated clothing. I'm still tweaking the animation and textures, but it will go into rendering later this week.

My first one is called :

Brain Dead...

it will be about 1200 frames ( 30fps ) - around 40/50 sec.
You seen the teaser :)

It will be stylized for a commercial of Octane render.

and second one is called:

Octane city :) - it will be more like "motion design" - ( octane is great for that ), but Ill post it after the comp ( maybe if there will be prolonging - then maybe ill submit it ), becouse it was my test animation which turned out really fine, and its waiting for finishing the "Brain Dead" first

Doing some tests, but haven't decided to participate yet.

Anyway I'm expecting to see great entries here. Good luck to everyone!

Well, currently I have no more than my Desert Turntable scene. I have very few time this month and I spend it on trying to install a 64 bits system, but as my ASUS P5K motherboard isn't on the Win7 compatibility list, I'm not yet sure at all that I will get something usable.
