Cannot get max network plugin to work

I wondered if anyone could help I am having issues getting the network render to work with 3DS max.

I have the standalone working just fine over two PCs, but when I try this in max the machine does not come up in the network list?

Any ideas? Both have the full licences & I have loaded scenes in box versions of 3ds max and all is fine, nvidia drivers are all upto date…

Ive ran out of ideas now?

Hi, you need to install same version of octane on all machines.

but i saw different versions in your screenshot, 2.06 in one and 2.22.2 in the other?

I apologise akira you are correct, when I checked this I just looked at the version inside the programs and it says they are the same as you can see below. I am not sure why the slave window says otherwise. I will see whats going on.

The version of octane for max is different to standalone slaves(the plugin version is 2.04 in your screenshot), they need to be the same too.

I have just un-installed the standalone & max plugins from both machines, and then re-installed both Max plugin 2.04 & Standalone 2.22.2.

Are you saying that my max plugin should also be 2.22.2? If so I can only download 2.04?

Im getting more & more confused with this now....

To be honest I am rather shocked with the lack of official support from otoy after paying €900 for the software......

Fully working now, its a real shame Otoy could not make it clear that you need this version thats hidden away and that its not in the "Standard" download folder as it would have saved myself and I guess a lot of others quite a lot of time!
