Thanks for the comments guys :D.

I did some more tweaking on DOF/angle and now i need to texture the back wall and the second pot, the reddish one. Which had just a basic specular material with a turbulence for bump map.
And also add some other things on the ground, behind the pots, on the rocks.

Rendered on my second GFX, 250 GTS with 1 GB of ram, 560 ram consumed for the whole scene at 1280/720p. The first pot has 4k maps, i will reduce them to 2k at the end if i'll end up in memory issues since i won't render at 3-4k.

It's starting to look really great ;)

Where is the focus.. ? Because I can see sharply the grass in right corner (if you want this...then subdivide the grass,or add few more) but your plate is blurry. And I would so much rather see the plate sharper, you made great texturing work on it, I think the DOF on it is almost unnecessary, maybe give it only a try, please, for me :)

I screwed up the scale right now, when exporting with the max2octane script you need to put the scale in the obj settings to 0.01. Mine was 1.0 so it's kind of hard to make a proper focus now. when i texture the wall and pot and fix the grass/pebbles than i will import the final max scene with proper settings and do a proper focus/render. I really want as well to see the textures in their full glory :D.

I'm starting to assemble the final scene. I will do 2 submissions, one with HDRI render and 1 with daylight system. only 2 minutes to render this preview on my GTS 250 1GB

The Vase looks superb ;)

Although looks like your last image is a victim of sunlight not passing through translucent material,eg. your water (which looks better on previous HDRi lit, if they were)

Yeah. In the hdri render i used the RNL2 HDRI from Debevec, really nice and made the liquid look really nice. Hopefully 2.3 or 2.4 will bring transparent shadows. Anyway, i'm working really hard on this one so i'll try to improve the liquid.

i won't:P. This was just 2 minutes, 100 samples. fast and dirty :D. For finals i will render at twice the res at 3-4k samples, to get perfect renders
