Hi Aoktar,

I've run into a problem trying to render a scene which includes an X particles skinner, which references a bunch of spheres (render perfect unchecked ;)) that were baked from a cloner object. Everything seems to show up just fine in the live viewer, but when I do a render to picture viewer it shows the 'start rendering...' message at frame 0, then skips straight to frame 1 and stops each frame after 37 seconds, leaving the image very grainy. I'm rendering in DirectLighting mode, max samples around 500 with keep environment checked off and Float Buffer checked on. I have tried copying my scene to a new project, changing my render path and even rendering the skinner object to Alembic and re-importing. I'm about to give up, but maybe you have an idea?

I have included the scene file.

cheers,

tris

Please write down the your infos to help me. Os, plugin version, gpus, etc...

I can render your scene here. But it has very intense triangle count ( about 11Millions ). Propably you don't have enought VRAM. Also try to be away unnecessary much polygon counts. Octane is slow in geometry compilation process.

Hi Aoktar,
that wouldn't surprise me. I might consider trying it without the subdivision surface.

I'm running windows 8.1, 64 bit.
Intel core i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30 GHz
32 gb RAM
nvidia GTX 980 + nvidia GTX 590

hopefully that's enough.

thanks!

Hi having a problem too with the Skinner. The Octane viewer seems ok but if rendered out on the picture viewer the skinner does not show? My gpu is just gtx 970. Is this error due to my gpu vram? I'm still new using Octane.

Are you sure that don't exceed polygon limits on renderer? LV uses viewport polygons not the final output meshes.

Always check Octane Log Window or Console window for errors.
