I know there's a way to assign objects to Octane render layers, but aside from going one at a time, is there a way to batch render all of your assigned Octane render layers?

I ask because I'd like to set up a render with more than 15 Octane render layers, but if I have to do a few versions of my render it's just a lot of extra work compared with other render engines (which can automatically render out all of your render layers).

yes, just you lanch a batch render and maya render out all your render layer.

@luk4, that only works for Maya's render layers, but not Octane's (the render layers found at the bottom of the render settings panel and defined by the layer ID #)

UPDATE:

I've tried using layer overrides with the Maya render layers so that each Maya render layer is a different Octane layer ID, and it works to render a frame at a time with the render viewer.

However, the layer overrides don't work for Octane settings in a batch render. I think this must be broken right now in the Octane for Maya plugin.

Has anyone else figured out how to render out more than one Octane render layer in a batch render?

Anyone?

Seems to work this side.

I've only tried the Layer masks so far, assigning a different Layer ID for each object (1, 2, 3 etc.) and then setting separate render layer overides in the Render Layers/Active layer ID - 1, 2, 3 etc.

This renders out separate Beauty renders with separate masks.

It would be cool to have 1 Beauty render and then separate black and white mattes.

Also, looks like the objects need to be set to Movable proxy.

Thanks, prodviz! I was beginning to think nobody had tried this yet, or that maybe it was just broken and will get fixed in the next version, but now I'm thinking maybe there's something corrupted in my scene. I'm going to try it out with a new scene to test that theory.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but is this working yet?
I'm using v2.23.2 (7.6) and I can't get multiple layers to render from single batch render in Maya either.
Same thing happens for me, when Maya batch render launches or Maya scene is re-opened, all Layer Overrides for Octane RenderLayers are gone.

Also is it possible to render out multiple Octane RenderLayers at once any other way?
I mean, under the hood it's obviously rendering the whole frame anyway and just masking the active ID but to render out multiple IDs you have to re-render the whole animation/frame multiple times.
The render times quickly go sky high when outputting multiple objects separately for final comp because you're just re-rendering the whole thing multiple times, but each time just discarding the pixels from non-active Layer IDs.
