System at startup: 170-400 W, idle 170 W
GTX 780:
FurMark 100% power 440 W
FurMark 110% power 470 W
Octane (not overclocked) 68% power 320 W
3x GTX780 (3way SLI on for FurMark), Titan off.
FurMark 100% power 957 W
FurMark 110% power 1035 W
Octane (not overclocked) 68% power 670 W
Octane (overclocked @1200core, 7000 mem.) 77% power 730 W
3x GTX 780 + Titan
Octane 917 W
Octane (overclocked) 955 W
Hence:
GTX 780 draws 150W (180W overclocked) in Octane, while in Furmark 270-300W
GTX Titan draws 170W (225 overclocked) in Octane (FurMark not available)
To run safely 4x gpus - like 4x 780, or 4x titans you need 1200+W PSU with peak to 1500W. Octane although will use about 1000 W. So the rest power will be used for CPU and peaks.
Thanks for those numbers. Very useful.
