Hello,
Just as soon as I click . period key for camera perp view.. Then hit SHIFT-Z to see Octane Render real-time preview.. I got black. I made sure the camera placement was correct and well lit.
It worked with "User Perp" viewpoint for real-time preview.. But not in Camera Perp.. What did I do wrong?

Found answer in another thread.
Under "Octane camera" properties, there's a field, "Distance". It is set to 0. Enter value more than zero will activate the camera.
Not sure why it's zero... Is it Blender or plug-in error for setting the value to zero?
