start octane without screen

Hello Guys,

I want to start the octane render within a linux bash script without display.
Is there a way to do this?

what do You mean without screen? so it wouldn't be shown? if so there a 'quite' mode - check thi command line parameters =)

yeah thats my intention, but the quiet mode is only without splash or minimized window .

hi, why not the osx version instead of linux?

You always need an X server to run Octane. The --no-gui switch will hide the main window but in some situations (like when activation is required, or when running a script which shows a GUI) Octane will still show a window.
