Hi, I need to create infinite background environments where the floor and background appear as one element. In C4D this is accomplished with the compositing tag and "compositing background" checked. How is this accomplished with Octane? Particularly while hopefully using the Octane HDRI environment. thanks

as far as I know it's impossible to do now in octane..or You simply need insanely huge plain.. & cheat a bit =) I might be wrong but I think I've heard infinite surfaces are coming to Octane vIII

I'm getting ready to purchase HDRI Light Studio for Octane/C4d, and in thier tutorials they have scenes where this is accomplished somehow, but they dont appear to explain how they accomplished it

Using Render Layer with Shadows ticked will get you what you essentially need. Here's a great tutorial on how to do it:
