problem with Octane Demo / Ubuntu 10.04

Hi,

...i`m really really interested in Octane, but I'm not able to start the Demo - :evil:

* OS: Ubuntu 10.04
* AMD X4
* Gtx 265

* Cuda Driver, Toolkit installed

when I want to start Octane Demo I get this:

that means it can't find the cuda runtime, which is in the toolkit.
maybe it's not in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH ?

try reinstalling it (it should add it itself).

I installed the toolkit in the /usr/local/cuda - like the Installation want to do.

May be can this the problem: (?)

the libcudart should be in the toolkit i think. (not the drivers)

Yeah, it is a separate download and install from the nvidia drivers. You shouldn't have to go through that whole mess to install cuda.
System 1: EVGA gtx470 1280Mb and MSI gtx470 1280 in Cubix Xpander for Octane, AMD 945, 4Gb Ram
All systems are at stock speeds and settings.

I think the Video Card is the Problem.

I use a GeForce GTX 265 from Sparkle
That's not a real Nvidia, or s.th. like this...may be?

Sorry but we can't help you with this, if you can't find a cuda 3.0 capable driver for your hardware there is'nt much we can do.
I suggest you contact your manufacturer/dealer.

I use a Nvidia Geforce 465 GTX - not a 265 GTX - so it should work...

Try to get your card installed with the latest drivers, once that works, try octane again...
