hi

i wonder if it's possible to create a floor that consist of e.g. tiles, and they all get random textures applied?

i have created a floor using floorgenerator by cg-source (https://cg-source.com/floorgenerator.php), and tried to add random material ids by using his "Unique Material ID" script, but then i get lost.

i would like to use the "MultiTexture Map" plugin, by the same author, but i can't figure out how to start the plugin, and in the description is octane not supported.

does anyone know how to create more 'random' look floors?

just remembered only recently I found out the materialbyelement default 3ds max modifier :) - in max 2015
- add the modifier, it will define random matID and create a multi/sub with different textures..
- didn't try it yet for floors, also looking for quick solutions since all the scripts and plugins look very messy - this seems doable..

- last time I did a good wooden floor, I took a hand scanner scanned the wooden tiles, and cut and pasted all inside photoshop :), looked pretty great, huge map though.. the oldschool way

hi acc24ex

i just found out that the floor generator script automatic creates different material ids - so after creating a floor you can add a multi/sub material and it's all fine :-)
