Hello,

I´m desperately trying to enable network rendering with Lightwave and octane for a while now.

Yesterday I started another attempt and now It seems to work in Octane standalone, but not in LW+plugin for octane.

The networkrender window in octane shows now a active "node" with name, ip, gpu´s.
But when I open the networkrender window in lightwave, It shows a unknown node with no gpu´s and Modus "unavailable" or sometimes "invalid version" in red letters.

I have installed exactly the same (newest) version on both systems (and deinstalled all other octane versions).

Does anyone know how to solve this problem or can give me a hint?

You need to be sure that the LW plugin and the Standalone in the render node have the same API version. For example you could try to download the last beta and the Standalone that match the used API:
http://render.otoy.com/customerdownload ... indows.zip
http://render.otoy.com/rcdownloads/Octa ... _win64.exe

This LW plugin and Standalone should work without problems.

works well here, but as juanjo said, check what version the plugin is built for and make sure you are using exactly the same version on the network machine. looks like you have different standalone/network versions from the version on which the LW plugin is compiled. on mac at least, i also made the experience that after installation, you need to boot at least twice on that machine to get the commandline version up and running. check the API version number in the "about" dialog and download corresponding standalone + network versions.
