How does the licensing work?

Looks like I'm going to purchase octane for C4D package (with standalone).
The problem is that I don't own a C4D, and I only use my school C4D license, when I graduate it will be gone, so I wouldn't want to conenct it to any C4D License.

How does the licensing work? Are the licenses binded to a machine or a specific c4d license, or can we install and run it on all pc's that we use/own?

deactivate on school's pc and use in home. No problem. Just you have to leave 1 hour before activate
