Hi,

I'm having trouble with using SSS + diffuse and displacement in a mix material.

When I activate displacement in the mix material the SSS behaves very strangely becomes very shiny and bright and is unusable.

I've been tearing my hair over this all day trying to fix. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Fanny, yes, the UV's were generated with UV Master. Iv'e found that when I try cubic or spherical mapping the problem goes away in the areas that cover the model, but obviously I need to use UVW mapping from Zbrush.

aware of zbrush's maps is not based black color=0 and white=1. It's designed for + and - values, but octane wishes the one way displacement.

hi, ryzej.

When you make dis_map, check flip V, and change the Y scale value to -1 in the octane's uvw transformation tab.

I don't know why, but this was the solution in my case.

I wish this could help.

Good luck!
