Render test / clay, wood, metal any any criticism is welcome...

I describe this post wrong... I should wrote: It's actually a render test for the environment with example materials. I want to reproduce this environment for a model which I want to create.

I think your clay is the most successful. Could you post your reference you were using when creating these?

thank you! What you mean by reference (images of real objects and the material).. or did you mean settings from the material?
If you mean reference ... than this is the inspiration for the clay material

your clay looks kinda like dried clay actually because of the desaturated look....not sure if that's intended or not. it looks like it could just be your post process though.

what about some metal visual reference? you seem like you're on the right track. The scratches look a little heavy handed to me and a bit too random and prominent without any roughness variation. Also, i think that's the wrong kind of metal, if you're making it specifically for an axe head. I might look for more reference on that one.

The metal texture is from the octane library just to get an idea of the reflections. But the clay is the first step to for the model to get the base right. When I finish the model I will paint them in Substance Painter and Substance Designer.
