Hello,

How do I render 16bit images instead of 8bit? I cannot seem to find an option for this in my render settings.

Thank you :)

there's a couple 16bit file settings in the render globals drop down.

Are you trying to save out of IPR? I've been having issues lately saving anything but 8bit files and it seems like another user is having an issue too. I'm not sure if I have a wrong setting somewhere but if you're saving out of IPR that could potentially be an issue.

The 16bit gives you a 32bit file.

To get a 16bit, I've been converting the 32 to 16 in photoshop.

Is there a way to get 16bit or possibly a half float image, out from Maya?
