Will they announce a new Titan?

Looking forward to see how much difference there will be between the Titan X (Titan II or whatever
and the Titan Z?
... with even more vram, will it also be faster for rendering then the Z... One thing is sure... The price will be different

if I have to put my money on a bet, I'd go for GTC - pretty sure we'll see something new out there!
Speed wise I'd put my guess somewhere between TitanBlack & TitanZ for the entry price..~2000$ =)
I hope I'm wrong, especially for the price =DDD.. what do You say? =)

Another item on linus tech about Titan Z,
Looks like they are talking about a Titan Z, but to be customized by brands, which is not the case with the Z.

Titan Z is very hard to get today, especially at around 1.5$ or EUR. EK stopped Z waterblocks production (there is comodo swiftech out there).
Would love to see titan with 12gb and single gpu at GTC.

Found this quote on overclock.net
A report published by EXPReview.com claims that the Nvidia Geforce GTX TITAN-X (or whatever it is called) will be priced around $1350 MSRP. That is approximately $350 more than the standard pricing of TITANs (single GPU). TITAN-X will extend the TITAN branding from Nvidia and will be equipped with a GM200 and will probably ship with 6GB of vRAM (with 12GB variants following at AIB discretion). The publication quotes inhouse sources and cannot be verified, so please take this with a grain of salt and as always notice the rumor tag above.

all these rumors are rarely even 50% true..so I wouldn't jump on them - Guys just write content to get traffic (that's how some sites make living) - on of the reasons why I start to hate all this model =) it's just too much wasted spaces for adds & useless info =)
agree with you on thatglimpse wrote:all these rumors are rarely even 50% true..so I wouldn't jump on them - Guys just write content to get traffic (that's how some sites make living) - on of the reasons why I start to hate all this model =) it's just too much wasted spaces for adds & useless info =)
Fun to see the speculations though.
Anyway... Probably the new Titan will be not that interesting to this community if the usp is 12gb.. Very few people or none will need 12 Gb, and now we have out of core textures, right?
Imo new cards are interesting when renderspeed can add at least 50% or can be doubled... The 780 is great compared to 580... The 980 is dissapointing in that perspective. Maybe post-Titan, the next generation might be interesting again.
My 2 cents,
Cheers

Yeah, it's hard to say for sure, until we get all the details & pricing to make any thoughts out of that.
However technologies move further & for sure that is going to bring new levels on performance..but it seems nVidia understood how their products are used & raising prices of GTX line, branching as Titans & offering them as entry level compute cards. Mentioned in "Second look at Titan Z" that my guess "is that we are going to see three segments [instead of two] in the future line of nVidia GPUs". Probably nVidia will try to do some crazy code optimizations for new cards to perform good on games, leaving pure performance to crunch numbers on cuda apps in different segment..Still kind of surpriced how cards like Titan Z is still branded as Gamer cards - who on earth buy 3000$ for gaming? (though read that sale figures where better than expected).
