Hey,
I have a situation here where I am setting a lot of small render tasks, and all of them have different settings (samples, diffuse depth...)
So I used Overwrite Kernel Settings (for each render setting) a lot and it gets quite cumbersome retyping/copying them from Octane Settings...
My suggestion would be, if we could get a button under Overwrite Kernel Settings, that would copy current Octane settings, that would make setuping much more friendly in such situations.
Thanks,
Sandi

Hey again, is it possible to get "alpha channel" option in the "Render passes/Info passes", as it is in the InfoChannels?
...and what about Filter size and render passes, do the automatically take the size set in the rendering kernel?
Thanks,
Sandi

It's been said many times, but I'm going to say it again. Layered materials. C4D's material system is the best out there and one of the main reasons that I use it. It would be amazing to have the power of C4D's material system available in Octane.
Thank you for your efforts, the plugin is great. Money well spent.

It's a limit of standalone and sdk. It has not any layered system. Can be injected with some custom ways but something will be missing anyway. "Filters" to comping the inputs.zimzooma wrote:It's been said many times, but I'm going to say it again. Layered materials. 1. drag and drop tex from live DB to material manager
2. The ability to exclude objects' shadows from a floor matte object
3. When you have color correction or mix texture or noise.. i would LOVE to be able to see a thumbnail instead of a white square, or red for dirt.
4. Layered Materials! Mix materials are really nice, but i love just throwing on an alpha decal on something and adjusting manually in the tag.
That's all for now! Such an awesome job on this latest release!!!
