Time for new video cards

Ok everybody, its 2015 and time to upgrade my GPU setup. I currently have 2 GTX670's:

EVGA GeForce GTX 670 SuperClocked 4096MB GDDR5, 2x Dual-Link DVI, HDMI, DP, 4-Way SLI Ready Graphics Card (04G-P4-2673-KR)

Base Clock: 967MHz
Boost Clock: 1046MHz
Memory Clock: 6008MHz
Cuda Cores each: 1344 x 2 = 2688 total.

Not too bad, but I know there's far better out there now. I'm looking for a single slot solution, but can get two if it works out better - I'm just wanting better performance. My budget is roughly $1200.

Any suggestions?

With that budget you should have the possibility to get a Titan Z.
The card has seen a pretty steep continuous price drop over the last year which now puts it somewhere between 1500 and 1200 USD, depending on manufacturer and retailer.
It's a pretty powerful card with 2 GK110 GPUs on it (the same chip you can find on a Titan Black, so you get two, mounted on one card.)

It serves as a single slot solution, which still leaves room for future upgrades.

What is your mobo and how much space do you have between your mbo and PU?
Can you show photo?
Maybe you can add TitanZ in lowest slot?

Man oh man, that Titan Z is one SWEET card!

It's hard to find tho...alot of out-of-stock notices. I did find a used ASUS (used?! - I guess it wasn't good enough for someone) for $1800. My system can definitely handle it, but I'm on the edge of the power requirements: 700W (with a minimum 12V current rating of 42A on a single rail) - and thats the MINIMUM requirement!

I'm curious to see what I do!

From what I was able to read online, the Titan Z might already see a phase-out by some retailers out there due to decreasing demand.
The card - after all - is a special interest product.

It might even get a bit cheaper, before it disapears from the market completely. If you're thinking about buying one - now might be the time, since the Maxwell-powered Titan X is already on the horizon.

Just to give you an idea what PSU power you'll need: I'm running a GTX Titan Black and a GTX 780 (both sporting 6GB VRAM) and my rig needs a 1100 W PSU.
Not sure if your 700 W will hold up...

Turns out I upgraded to a 900w PSU when I bought my two GTX 670s. I'm hoping that will be enough for a single Titan Z...but we'll see.
