Hi,
I just installed the Blender Octane demo. I can see rendered images with all different Kernel settings except of "PMC". When I select PMC and render I only get a message "Waiting for image" but nothing happens - even after waiting for ages and very low max.samples. Doesn't PMC in the demo or isn't this option available for my graphics card? (Geforce GTX970 with latest drivers) - I'm using the latest demo version for Blender Octane (Bundled with Blender 2.72...) - I'm on Windows 8.1 64 Bit.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Marco
No image in Blender Octane demo with PMC Kernel?

Hi Marco,
did you also download and install the OctaneServer demo? If so, check that it is running - an icon should be showing up at your screen's lower right tray...
edit: please disregard. I missed that you 'see rendered images with all different Kernel settings'. cheers.

Thanks guys. I've found out what the problem is: The Blender demo is packed with Octane 2.06 and with this version PCM doesn't seem to work with the Geforce GTX970 (this seems to be a known issue - I've searched the forum and found some C4D postings discussing that problem) With the standalone demo however PCM is working on my machine and graphics card (standalone demo is based on a later version of Octane compared to which is packed with the Blender demo...).
Thanks anyway. I suppose when I actually buy Octane for Blender I get a version that is working with PCM (version later than 2.06)?
thanks
Marco
