Hello Paul, I have bunch of Modo presets that all have their own UV maps. I usually use 2-5 of the presets in my renderings to cut down on scene setup time. However it appears that the Octane plugin will only take one UV map at this time. Is this a limit of Octane and the .obj file format or is this something that is planned in future versions of the plugin.

Hi Carter - the latest TEST release of the plugin supports multiple UV maps. The quote from the release notes...
2.20.0.49
- Added preliminary support for multiple UV maps. Up to 3 UV maps are available for each Modo Mesh item when loading into Octane. The plugin assumes two different meshes will not use the same UV map (however it will allow this if the index of the shared UV map is the same for each Mesh). Hair stands are limited to 1 UV map, as are Mesh items with Load Cage ticked. IMPORTANT: If you Export to OCS or ORBX, only one UV map will be exported in the geometry (since the OBJ format only support a single UV map). If you export the animation (via octane.command exportAlembic) you will get all UV maps exported in the geometry (since the geometry is stored in ABC format in this case)

Paul, thanks for that update. Quick question. How do I point the plugin to 2.20 and not 2.16? Or do I need to export to the standalone?

Generally you don't need to match Octane plugin versions with the Octane Standalone version - the only time this is really needed is if you are network rendering. The 2.20 version of OctaneRender for Modo is in the current TEST thread in this Modo sub-forum.
