I made a material in the standalone (for the first time) I then saved it to the local db. How do I load that into modo then? I actually found the local db location on my harddrive and it was in the appdata roaming folder. I then tried to add that location in my modo preset window. But nothing will load up. Thoughts?

Thanks

Hi

Use the command "octane.importLocalDb". I have updated the manual to reflect this - http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Modo/?page_id=839

Worked great thanks.

EDIT: It doesn't bring in any image maps? Didn't bring in my turbulence generator either.... Or the projection maps I had set up...

Just right click and save to local db in the standalone correct?

EDIT2: I would typically just delete all this because I got it working and I could see other people doing this.

But make sure you have EVERYTHING selected and not just the root material.

Works great!

Is this now all working for you? I just checked, and it seemed to be working correctly for me. I have added a page to the manual on this at http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Modo/?page_id=1078.

Yeah I got it working. I just didn't have all the nodes selected. I only had the root material selected and it didn't transfer all the nodes. But If I selected everything and then saved it, it worked great. I only tried with 1 material so far. I will be doing a lot more texturing next week and using it a lot more.

Also as a quick little tip that most modo users should know. I mapped the command to a hotkey.
