The scene you are illegally distributing is by "Stefan Morrell" and is sold at "Daz3d.com". You do not have any right to distribute it so a moderator has been warned about this...

wonder how far that goes? what if i were to use a tree or two in a scene i've made that i bought from Evermotion and uploaded the image here - or is it that the scene above is exactly that of Daz3d.com?

Though policy is policy and companies can't go breaking the law, its a slippery slope. Currently a number of "warez" sites are protecting any cracked version of Octane appearing (one was linked by a mod yesterday refering to another issue). i wonder how long these sites will protect Refractive software should such a stict rule for just showcasing images be upheld?

There's nothing illegal by posting renders of assets you bought. He probably made the scene (ie mesh and textures included) available for download and that is not OK.

Cool render, would be "better" with a darker mood maybe.

But about the scene, i dont see the problem either if he have bought it he can do anything with it exept give it away.
I mean many of those doing archviz buy furniture at evermotion and such and uses it in commercial work perfectly legal.

Mantra didn't just uploaded images he made but he also added a link to download the full scene in obj format with the textures :x

Of course, he edited his post after my message so you can't see it now. My reply was concerning the fact he was making the scene available while it is sold at Daz. Of course you can do whatever you want with your images :D

Even if that was the case, it would be arguable whether it's completely illegal to hand it over freely, as long as you wouldn't profit from it... at least that is the case in some countries
