Hi,

I animated most of this back in 2010. Thanks to the Octane plug in and a re-working of the intro we've breathed new life into this old piece of animation.

Hope you enjoy the show.

For comparison here is the original from 2010. It was my 3rd animation at the time and I was purely concentrating on animating back then, not lighting.

Many thanks Wendy. I'll have a go at this next week when hopefully the ep 3 re-render is ready.

Are you fully Octane now? I see iclone is moving on at a pace. Also when brigade comes out I think we'll all have to rethink.

I really enjoy your work. Did you render this version using the DAZ plugin or in the standalone? If the plugin was used was it the latest build? I've been debating whether to switch from v1.2 to v2.1 for animation.

Thanks Spectralis. :)

It was made within DAZ 1.2 version. I don't see the 2.1 in my downloads yet and I was due a free upgrade. Has this been released or is it still in testing?

Cheers

OcDS is still in beta. Because of that you will not find any updated versions in the official download area of your account.

But you can download and install any pre release build posted by t_3 in the top section of the OctaneRender for DAZ Studio forum.

The latest at the time of writing is found here:

Many thanks Linvanchene,

I have one last DAZ project to go after this (I'm back on Carrara after that). Would be nice to do it in 2.1 :)

Ok I now have the upgrade licence. Thanks for your advice.

I guess we are waiting for the official release now. I have a production schedule to fulfill so I'd rather use the full release version.

I expect to work on episode 4 around mid next week. Is the full release that imminent? Otherwise I may have to stick to 1.2 as I know how to handle that.

cheers.
