The topic discussed here is starting to turn into more of a general octane question than a modo specific one. So I am going off of this.

We are starting to make some progress. But is there a way to tell Octane what vertical is or do you have to use an external program to manipulate the image?

As you can see in the first picture, the raw render, all the vertical lines are skewed. Then you can see in the second one, what we had to do to get the panoramic to look right in the VR.

Thanks for any help on this!!

Does it help if you switch to cylindrical projection?

Are you positive your camera was not tilted or rotated in any way? Alternatively, your world/structure may be rotated as well.

Cylindrical doesn't work because then it doesn't even render the entire room. I will revisit that though.

Can it not be tilted at all? I haven't tried that. I just placed it and hit render basically. Everything in the room is straight I know. I will try these suggestions and let you know if anything worked for me.

Thanks!

Try these settings in the Panoramic Camera:

Position 0.000 0.000 1.000
Target 0.000 0.000 -1.000
Up-vector Position 0.000 1.000 0.000

That somewhat worked but if my scene wasn't exactly in the middle it didn't work.

But I got it figured out. It was just moving the camera to make it look right, I am assuming straight as could be.

But I also still have the power to put the camera anywhere I want, just need to tweak until the lines looked straight.

Thanks for all the help.
