Hi all,

i'm new to Octane and have been trying to figure out the DOF setting in the OctaneCameraTag. I've searched the forum and did a few tutorials online but still no luck. I think i've gotten it to work once but for the most part nothing happens when i adjust the slider in the Aperature. I've tried adjusting Focal Depth, turned on Motion Blur, set my shutter to 0.25, used the PF picker and still nothing. Post processing doesn't work either. I'm using the Cinema 4D plugin.

Totally at a loss, thanks for any helps.

Hi there,
Be sure camera is activated first. And having a octane cameratag on camera. There is no any relationship with motion blur or shutter. Only need is a value of aperture. Also check Octane camera part of manual.

Without forget, use Cinema 4D forum for plugin questions. Thanks

Hi, thanks for your response. I didn't realize there was a Cinema forum section so i'll post there from now on. I tried a new camera and it worked fine. I think there might have been some type of tag on my original camera that was not allowing me to see the dof. Thanks again, appreciate it.
