Hi

When I have in scene one object, and one material, I can set material in 3d studio max and I can export this for Octane Render.
When in MAX i change glossines etc, I have this in Octane but. This is not perfect. This not working now ?

I need change standard material, and I need see this changes in Octane Render. Obj and mtl chave support for this ?
What I must change in 3d studio max on my standard material for control SPECULAR, ROUGHNESS .....

I need this, this is very fast, change this on max scene and export this as obj. When I must change this
in octane this is not good for me, time. I have control DIFFUSE COLOR in max, ROUGHNESS but this not
work good, this have limitations....

When I export scene to octane I don't like this - Octane Render have as default sampling 16000, I can change this
only in animations render, but when I use only one frame render I dont have control - 16000 is default.

And...KILAD script not working, I have crash. Work only other script --> max2octane

Why Octane Render dont have file config.ini? We can set default sampling other 16000...
Now this is not possible, always I have 16000 when Octane start...

Look, this is how I work, first I set textures and uv maps in max, don't work too hard with the materials cause they have little to do with octane's plus in octane I get real time feedback on how the material is looking, which for me is a great time saver. Then when is all setup I export the scene to octane, there I adjust the camera (position, tone mapping, dof...) I create / add /change all the materials till I like the result, change the render kernel (pathtracing, max samples...) and set the desired image output, then I save the scene, and I can go back to max to change uv's if needed, add more detail move things around, add whatever, then export again the model and reload the obj with all my scene allready setup as I like and ready to render (actually rendering as soon as it reloads :) ), and you can use kilad's script to help out on the exporting which works better than fine, at least in my end.

When I push button render in max gui for octane, octane.exe has start. After I see 16000 samples in scene.
I was change this. When i return to max, and push button render, octane render start as instancje, this is
not reload. And new instance octane.exe aplication have 16000 samples...

aye, as default octane loads with 16000 maxsamples, but if you reduce that value, then save and from max point to the saved scene and hit render again it uses your saved scene presets
