I was optimizing the scene and noticed that it renders considerably faster when unchecked. And if I have already blurred HDRI importance sampling plays no role.

When IPR is working and I change some parameter of a light it takes quite a while until it updates this change. But if I press pause, make a change and then immediately unpause it takes approx. 4 times less time to update, I wonder why, I could send a scene if neccessary.

Hello,
I downloaded the latest version of the plug-in but FiberFX but doesn't work? I don't see the fibers in the IPR window?
I updated my version of the driver for my card NVDIA > version 344.75 now
I updated my version of CUDA to have 6.5 but I don't know where to see if the version installed!?
version of Octane plug-in > 2.15.1
version Lightwave 11.6.3 build 2737
Windows 8.1 64bits
Card GeForce GTX 660 Nvdia
thank you for your help

Sorry, the FiberFX rendering is only available in LightWave 2015. The older LightWave versions don't have the FiberFX API in the SDK to support this feature.chris_solo wrote:Hello,

Juanjgon,
Thank you. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
I have never had the best of luck with fiberfx.
I am sitting here with slack-jawed amazement that I can see the rendering of hair without crashes. (Once I figured out a few things.) This is a long-ago forgotten project that would never render right. I am seeing some anomalies, spiking during motion, but this is some of the BEST hair I have gotten out of FFX.
I see some things I don't grok yet but this is a really nice combination of tech at work.
You, sir, have shown what an exemplary level of integration can achieve: useful excellence.
Kudos.
Robert

The daily build has been updated. The current version is the 2.16.0
This should be the stable release of the 2.1x development cycle. If there are no more major issues, we will release this build as production build with the demo versions in few days.
