So after playing a little more, closing down revit and restarting, I was able to get it to run and it looks pretty nice. However...I tried to open a different viewport and Octane keeps returning to the original viewport it rendered. Even after saving the file as a different name and deleting the 3d view it was wanting to render, it still returns to the same view...AAAHHHHHHH!!!!! What am I missing here?

As Seeker says, you probably have Viewport Navigation enabled.

Thanks, guys. I played with that a little but did not have any luck. I'll try again tomorrow.

I almost feel like I need to wipe everything off this box and do a full reload. I'm having other bizarre Windows issues, so I'm starting to wonder if the whole thing is just unstable. For the third day in a row I've logged on as the admin, turned off Windows update, restored to a previous known good date, and restarted only to have Windows update turn back on and reload all of the updates that forever seem to cause problems. Oh how I wish Autodesk would issue a Mac version...

What I will say is that when Octane is working for me, it is AWESOME!

restored to a previous known good date,
I'm not sure what Windows will do with the OctaneRender for Revit plugin when you do this - it may rollback the version, which is not what you want. In general, I keep Windows always up to date with updates and have not had to roll back to a previous version.

EDIT: Also, depending on which version of Revit you are running - there are .NET libraries installed (by Revit) and being updated via the Windows updater. So roll-back may be influencing these libraries, which will also going to potentially effect Revit plugins.

So in summary, I would recommend updating everything to the latest version.
