No estimation but have you tryed to run R15 version? It can work on C4D R16.

Is the node editor included in the demo? Because I can't find it. I looked for the NG button as it shows up in the tutorials/images, but it seems to be disabled or missing in the demo. It would be nice to know what to expect with the node editor if one decides to purchase, even if it's unstable

it's not included because of stability problems. We can have a new demo soon with node editor.
