Is there a way for more concentrated light

Exactly like a fresnel lens would operate?
I know a few renderers that gave this option, and it really adds a lot to the realism, photo-realism.

I tried with an alphamap on the opacity of a lightplane, so the edges get less opacity and you get more soft reflections, but it doesn`t concentrate the light.
Also changing the distribution doesn`t help much.

have you tried buying a fresnel lens hdri and see how that works? combining that with the light falloff parameter might work.

I was thinking the same as glimpse, IES lights will do the trick.
