Glimpse,

Sorry that's hardly an announcement, its more of a tease (again). I dont want to be the negative Nancy here but if Goldorak states he is going to provide NEWS in a week or so then is waiting 2 months with nothing acceptable?

Still waiting for some "information" about the cloud edition and network rendering licensing (as promised) so i can make plans around my hardware setups

The devs have been fully focused on maxwell performance since the 980 release. Once that is done, we'll be able to move back to this.

Goldorak

Sorry but that sounds a lot like a cop-out, and i am starting to not believe anything you have to say on this forum

This whole cloud rendering/network rendering has been handled very poorly indeed!

I don't want to be nasty but ..... some of the other devs said in the forum your team didn't even had the 980 to test on in the first place that's why then didn't even start on optimizing it. It took them like 2 weeks I think to get it. So your statement has already a cast of doubt on it.

The project I'm working on right now is killing me, I have to render 450 frames of an animation, and each frame takes 40 minutes to render... My company doesn't want to invest in a rendering machine, so I REALLY need the power of the Cloud... How long this is gonna take?

Octane CE, as well as Brigade, are starting to look like a chimera to me... We keep hearing that they will arrive "soon", but they said "soon" also a year ago... :(

Both products definitely exist and are under active development.

While I can't say much around definitive dates, the first release of Octane Cloud Edition is technically complete and having UI polish put on right now. Brigade is also is moving along at a good pace, although it has a bit more work that needs to be done before it is ready for release.

Try and hold out for just a bit longer - I promise it'll be worth it!
