I forgot my password very early on and have tried resetting it a number of times on my laptop
my desktop remembers and logs me in but I have no idea what it actually is.
I get emails with resets and do so, get to my account page then if I try to post a comment it asks again and says it is invalid.
I am going in circles and suspect it is the same password I originally used anyway.
Oddly I can post here on my desktop with no issues.

No it is not my old one as going to my account I had to use new one as autofill one now invalid
but it worked
but still puzzles me why the laptop sign in will not work, is it that I cannot be signed in on two computers at once?

That's right - where can I set a password for the forum (not for my account)?
3090, Titan, Quadro, Xeon Scalable Supermicro, 768GB RAM; Sketchup Pro, Classical Architecture.
Custom alloy powder coated laser cut cases, Autodesk metal-sheet 3D modelling.

If you click on the "User Control Panel" link on above, then select "Profile" in the "Options" panel on the left, then select "Edit Account Settings". You can change your forum password there. :D

Sounds like you might be confusing the Otoy account password with your forum password? One is used for your Octane account (gives you access to your key codes, etc) and the other is for accessing the forum.

OK now this just gets crazier
I just tested
I can log in on my android too and access my user account and downloads but not the forum
and there is not another different password as I changed it to the same one via the email link and had to use the new one on my desktop
the good news is of course I can still access my software which I paid for, if it had been the OTHER way it would have been a serious issue indeed
the drawback is I have to be at my desktop to post on the forum which if I am annoying in my posts and questions may be seen as a good thing too
