I added the really fun ones with After Effects. But some of them were done inside Octane. Go to the rendering tab, the look for the "Post Process" feature and enable it. There are many setting you can play around with like Bloom Power, and flare intensity. I used it to build a foundation of flares because its tons easier letting octane resolve them, where as AE you have to manually track the light emitters (very time consuming). I also paid a pretty penny for that AE flare plug-in and can only say it was worth it...the last video I did I couldn't afford the plug-in and manually scripted my flares it took DAYS off my life while looking homemade.

This should be obvious but in Octane 2.1 unlike Octane 1.2 I can not force Octane to render in the size I want. The slider bars don't affect the picture size only the size of the picture on the screen itself. I want a render way bigger than my actual screen size. Why cant I render at 4096 x 2400 say?

Sorry folks but as luck would have it I found the button on top of the open viewport which says "Switch Render Size to Viewport size/Render setup.". Its just to the left of the question mark button. So answered my own question.
