animation keyframing in standalone

I am trying out the standalone version of OR using Alembic animation import and obj imports placing stuff with the node editor using transform etc nodes and can build up scenes for still renders just fine.
But how do I keyframe camera movement?
Do I need a LUA script :evil:
my Alembic objects move so that part is not an issue.

yes I have OR 4 DAZ studio plugin and animate in that but the standalone has some cool features I want to use too and I have been able to figure out most of the basics RTFM but not this.
I can even keyframe stuff on the timeline in Blender and that has to be the user interface from hell.
So feel I am missing the bleeding obvious dumb noob that I am.

Somebody Pleeeeeeese have pity on me and give me some baby steps or just put me out of my misery and say yes you need a LUA script and you are too stupid to do it :D somehow I doubt notepad and editing an existing one like the turntable one is going to be in my grasp. If I could even find how.
See there are many readymade scripts that do things beyond my understanding but cannot find a simple transform rotate camera one.
set animator looks promising but this stuff waaay over my head.
