I will try to find a solution for your problem

Thanks. I think it would be better if I describe a simple scene for you to create and then you will see what I'm doing. It's a workflow that many LightWave users follow. However, I will send you a sample scene if you still think it would be helpful for you.
First, create a simple sphere in Modeler. Still in Modeler, open the FiberFX plugin. Click on "Grow". To make the fibers easier to see, I suggest increasing the fiber quantity from 100 to 1000. Click OK. Create simple Octane surface settings for each of the three surfaces (may only be necessary for the sphere since the fibers have to be surfaced in Layout's FiberFX plugin separately?). Save the object and send it to Layout.
Enable Octane in Layout. Set up default Octane RenderTarget tree.
Open FiberFX and activate the second layer which contains the fibers. Create simple Octane surface in the FiberFX node editor and enable it. Click the "eye" box in the Object list to see that the Layout definitely recognizes the fibers. Try IPR or F9. There's almost nothing there.
I do see dots on the sphere where the fiber roots are. I also get the message about no weight info and no UVs.
Also, it appears the FiberFX node editor can be disabled with the same result.
Looking forward to your response. --Hal
